INVITATION TO TENDER

eDUMBE WASTE WATER TREATMENT WORKS PHASE 2 

TENDER NO: ZDM 1020/2011

This  contract  consists  of   the  construction  of   a  reinforced  concrete  sump,  concrete  lined aeration lagoon, associated pipework and razor mesh fencing. A CIDB contractor grading destination of 3CE is required.

All  work  on  this  contract  will  be  in  terms  of   the  principles  laid  down  in  the  Expanded Public Works Programme whereby the use of  sustainable, labour intensive methods is to be optimised.

Only tenderers who have experience in this type of work will be considered during the tender evaluation process.

All  those  requiring  tender  documents  must  fax  the  relevant  tender  number,  their  company details and contact number to (034) 983 2945, before 12h00 on Wednesday, 05 October 2011.

Tender documents will then be handed out at the compulsory clarification meeting, which will take place on 07 October 2011. Prospective tenderers are required to meet at 10h00 at the éDumbe Local Municipality, 10 Hoog Street, Paulpieterburg, 3180, from where they will travel in convoy to site. A R250.00 non-refundable deposit (cash only) is required for each tender document drawn.

TENDER CLOSING DATE: 12H00 ON 20 OCTOBER 2011.

Duly completed tender documents sealed in an envelope marked with the tender number and the closing date are to be deposited into the tender box at Zululand District Municipality, Lot B-400 Gagane Street, Ulundi, 3838 by no later than 12h00 on the closing date where they will be opened in public.  Telegraphic, telefaxed or posted tenders will not be accepted.

Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued. Requirements

for  sealing,  addressing,  delivering,  opening  and  assessment  of   tenders  are  stated  in  the Tender Data. The Bid Committee of  Zululand District Municipality does not bind itself  to accept the lowest or any tender.
