                                       TENDER NOTICE

THE ZULULAND DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY HEREBY INVITES TENDERS FOR :CONTRACT NO ZDM 1041/2011 SOVANA BULK GRAVITY AND RETICULATION

The project will consist of supplying,delivering and laying a 160mm diameter 4000m long uPVC rising main pipeline, associated valve chambers and fittings,etc. A CIDB Contract grading of 3CE is required.

work on these contracts will be in terms of the principles laid down by the expanded Public works programme, whereby the use of sustainable, labour-intensive methods utilising resources from the target community is to be optimised.

All those requiring tender documents must fax the relevant tender number, their company details and contact number to (034)983-2945,before 12:h00, 1February 2012. Tender documents will then be handed out at the compulsory clarification meeting,which will take take place on Thursday,2February 2012. Prospective tenders are required to meet at 10h:00 at Magugu(T-Junction of R66 Pongola to Nongoma road from Louwsburg(27,33'45"S,31,41'05"E) from where tenders will travel in convoy to site.

Duly completed tender documents, sealed in an envelope marked with the tender number and the closing date,are to be deposited into the tender box at Zululand District Municiapality, Lot B400 Gagane street, ULUNDI 3838 by no later than 12h:00 on the closing date, where they will be opened in public. Telegraphic,telefaxed or posted tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued. Requirements for sealing, addressing,delivery,opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the tender data.

The bid committe of Zululand district municipaity does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
