                      The Zululand District Municipality hereby invites tenders for:


TENDER NO: ZDM 1076/2012THE INSTALLATION OF ±61 PRE-CAST CONCRETE VIP
TOILET UNITS AT NTENDEKA 3


The  scope  comprises  the  installation  of  ±61  pre-cast VIP  units  for  Ntendeka  3  to  households  in  the  rural settlement areas. The scope will include the collection of pre-cast units (supplied under separate contract by the Employer) from a central location, their handling and transport to the household and the erection thereof, including all work to excavate the pit and to construct the pit lining.


Work on this contract will be in terms of the principles laid down by the Expanded Public Works Programme whereby the use of sustainable, labour-intensive methods utilising resources from the target community is to be optimised.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading of 2CEPE/2CE or 2GBPE/2GB.


All those requiring tender documents must fax the relevant tender number, their company details and contact number to (031) 262-5494, before 10:00 on 20 February 2012.Tender documents will then be handed out at the compulsory clarification meeting, which will take place on 23 February 2012. Prospective tenderers are required to meet at 10:00 at ZDM Office at B-400 Gagane Street,
Ulundi.

Duly completed tender documents sealed in an envelope marked with the tender number and the closing date are to be deposited into the tender box at Zululand District Municipality, Lot B-400, Gagane Street, Ulundi 3838 by no later than 12:00 on the closing date, where they will be opened in public. Telegraphic,
telefaxed or posted tenders will not be accepted


Tenders  may  only  be  submitted  on  the  tender  documentation  that  is  issued.  Requirements  for  sealing, addressing, delivering, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the tender data.


The Bid Committee of Zululand District Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
