Mangosuthu water supply Phase 2A

                                                  TENDER NOTICE


  The Zululand District Municipality hereby invites tenders for:

                   CONTRACT NO: ZDM 1094/2012MANGOSUTHU WATER SUPPLY 
                                                          PHASE 2A


The project will consist of installation of 995m of 250mm
diameter uPVC piping and installation of approximately
7km HDPE pipe network (110-25mm dia) with ±90 yard
connections,  associated  valves,  fittings  etc.  A  CIDB
contractor grading of 3CE is required.

Work on these contracts will be in terms of the principles
laid  down  by  the  Expanded  Public  Works  Programme
whereby the use of sustainable, labour-intensive methods
utilising  resources  from  the  target  community  is  to  be
optimised.


All  those  requiring  tender  documents  must  fax  the
relevant  tender  number,  their  company  details  and
contact  number  to  (034)  983-2945,  before  12:00  on 
20 March 2012.


Tender documents will be handed out at the compulsory
clarification meeting, which will take place on 22 March
2012. Prospective tenderers are required to meet at the
eDumbe  Municipality,  10  Hoog  Street,  Paulpietersburg
3180. Contractors will travel in convoy to the site.


A R250.00 non-refundable deposit (cash only) is required
for each tender document drawn.

Tender closing date: 12:00 on 5 April 2012


Duly completed tender documents sealed in an envelope
marked with the tender number and the closing date are
to be deposited into the tender box at Zululand District
Municipality, Lot B-400 Gagane Street, Ulundi 3838 by
no later than 12:00 on the closing date, where they will
be  opened  in  public. Telegraphic,  telefaxed  or  posted
tenders will not be accepted.


Tenders   may   only   be   submitted   on   the   tender
documentation  that  is  issued.  Requirements  for  sealing,
addressing, delivering, opening and assessment of tenders
are stated in the tender data.


The Bid Committee of Zululand District Municipality does
not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
