                  The Zululand District Municipality hereby invites tenders for:

                     CONTRACT NO: ZDM 1106/2012 - KWAGEQA CRÈCHE
                     CONTRACT NO: ZDM 1107/2012 - ESGUBUDU CRÈCHE
                     CONTRACT NO: ZDM 1108/2012 - DONGOTHULE CRÈCHE
The scope comprises the construction of 1x Classroom Crèche - blockwork masonry under iron roof sheeting structure
with VIP toilet block and fence.

CONTRACT NO: ZDM 1100/2012 - MVALO SECONDARY SCHOOL
CONTRACT NO: ZDM 1101/2012 - ERASMUS FONTEIN PRIMARY SCHOOL
The scope comprises the construction of 3 x Classroom Schools - blockwork masonry under iron roof sheeting structure. Work on these contracts will be in terms of the principles laid down by the Expanded Public Works Programme, whereby the use of sustainable, labour-intensive methods utilising resources from the target community is to be optimised.

It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading of 1 GB PE or higher.All those requiring tender documents must fax the relevant tender number, their company details and contact number to (035) 870-0440 BEFORE 12:00 on 4 May 2012.Tender documents will then be handed out at the compulsory clarification meeting, which will take place on 10 May 2012. Prospective tenderers are required to meet at 10:00 at the ZDM Office at B-400 Gagane Street, Ulundi.

A R150.00 non-refundable deposit (cash only) is required for each tender document drawn.Enquiries for Kwageqa Crèche, Esgubudu Crèche and Dongothule Crèche can be directed to Mr Mondli Malinga on (035) 874-5500 during office hours.
Enquiries for Mvalo Secondary School and Erasmus Fontein Primary School can be directed to Mr Simpiwe Gumede on (035) 874-5500 during office hours.
Tender closing date: 12:00 on 17 May 2012

Duly completed tender documents, sealed in an envelope marked with the tender number and closing date, are to be
deposited into the tender box at Zululand District Municipality, Lot B-400 Gagane Street, Ulundi 3838 by no later than
12:00 on the closing date, where they will be opened in public. Telegraphic, telefaxed or posted tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.

The Bid Committee of Zululand District Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
